English-Russian and Russian-English spiritual dictionary

Good day everyone, God bless you!

Spiritual vocabulary is a bit special area and sometimes we are not sure - which term is more appropriate to translate something from Russian into English or visa versa. And, usage of online tools not always efficient enough in this task. So, let us share our findings and gather a sort of a dictionary for such cases out of our experience of translation.
To verify our translations let us use some trustful sources when possible. First of all it is the Holly Bible, plus other well known spiritual texts when necessary. Please add the examples that you used for the verification into your posts, when possible.


Also, please use English only for all the discussion in this topic (except of texts of Russian translations). Don't hesitate to use online translators in discussions. And if you make a couple of mistakes in your comments that is not a big problem. But I'm going to move all non-English messages from the dictionary to some other discussion zone.

God willing later on we could also add here some sort of online quizzes for better memorization of the translations. Hope it will be useful.

The word hallow is related to the word holy. As a verb it means "honor as holy" and as a noun it means "holy person".
